We offer a range of different sessions and services for the children and families in our community.
2 Year Old Children
We offer morning, afternoon and full day sessions for 2 year old children, from their second birthday. We have funded Play and Learn places and paid sessions for private places. You can check your eligibility for a free 2 year old place by accessing the Durham County Council parent portal . If you need any help and support with applying for a free place, please speak to our secretaries, Christine or Fiona, as they can help.
Our 2-3 year old room has beautiful facilities and resources both indoors and outdoors to promote independence and exploratory learning. The children are supported by caring, skilled practitioners, trained and experienced in working with 2s. We work hard to develop trusting relationships with families, enabling them to feel happy and comfortable when leaving their child, possibly for the first time. Every child is unique, and their individual needs are catered for allowing them to flourish and grow.
Please see our 2 year old section for further information.

Daily Routines
Children arrive at nursery and are taken to their group rooms where they will be met by their key person. After meet and greet time the children will take part in a short session of focused teaching where they will take part in a range of activities covering all areas of learning. After this time the children have free play in the indoor and outdoor environment, snack and then a story. The children will be collected from their group rooms after story time.
Your child’s time with their key worker at the beginning of the session is very important for their learning and development. Please ensure that your children arrive at nursery on time. We also ask that you arrive on time to collect your child. If you are unexpectedly delayed please contact the Nursery and inform a member of staff.
