Free Play & Learn sessions for 2Yr olds

May 4, 2020 by Admin Linda

Our nursery has 2 year old places available from September, please get in touch if you need any further information.

2 Year Free Play and Learn Applications – September 2020 eligibility

Due to the current circumstances surrounding the Covid19 pandemic we are unable to send out Golden Tickets to those families with eligible 2 year olds for September 2020.  Parents can still apply via the Parent Portal which can be found on the DCC Website. To prevent any delays in processing applications we are encouraging all parents to apply via the Portal to ensure an immediate result.

At present under government rules, only those children who are eligible to attend under the DfE vulnerable children list or Critical Workers with no alternative childcare can attend schools and settings. Parents requiring a funded two year place will be asked to complete an online application via the Parent Portal. They may require support in doing this.

The childcare team are available at childcare@durham.gov.uk to answer any queries from both providers and parents.

Phone calls to say Hi! (01.04.20)

April 1, 2020 by Admin Linda

We thought it would be a lovely idea to give our children and families a ring over the next few days to say hello. We know how much the children will be missing nursery and we are missing them too.

This call will be from your child’s key person, or a member of staff who knows them well.

Please be aware that we are unable to use the nursery phone, therefore the number will show as Withheld or No Caller ID.

We look forward to speaking to you and your child soon.

Email sent on behalf of Richard Crane

March 26, 2020 by Admin Linda

Dear Parents,

As the situation with coronavirus continues to develop we are asking you to carefully consider whether or not your child needs to be in school.

We appreciate that the central government guidance around what constitutes a key worker is quite broad, however we would like to remind you that the reason schools are remaining open is primarily to ensure that those frontline workers who are key to helping this country get through this situation, can get to work.

Each school will have different levels of demand for these places and may handle this situation differently in order to ensure the welfare of all staff and children.  We ask you to respect any restrictions your school may put in place to help them cope during these challenging times.

Finally, can we remind you that in line with Public Health England guidance, the best place for your child, wherever possible is at home with you, helping to maintain good social distancing for our wider community.

Thank you,

Richard Crane

March 26, 2020 by Admin Linda

In view of the current situation with regards the coronavirus, we are not in a position to be able to carry out the planned visits for the children expected to join our nursery after Easter. Please do not worry, your child has a place and we will welcome them as soon as we can.

We are also unable to currently correspond with families whose children could start in September 2020.  We are asking for your patience and understanding in this very challenging situation. Rest assured we will be in touch as soon as we are in a position to do so.

Officially Ofsted Outstanding!!!

April 2, 2019 by natalieparkinson

We are really proud and pleased to announce that, following our recent Ofsted inspection on 12th March, we have once again been awarded Outstanding.

This judgement is due to the fantastic work and dedication of our staff team, who work really hard to provide the best education and care for the children. It is also due to the wonderful support we receive from our families. It is lovely to see that the importance of working together, to provide the best start for all of the children, has been recognised.

Please take the time to read our report.
