Horden Nursery School

We had a Halloween party at nursery and enjoyed dressing up in our favourite costumes. Great fun was had, playing games and dancing to spooky music.

Every year we hold a coffee morning and afternoon in memory of our past Head Teacher ,Barbara Wilkin. All proceeds are donated to Macmillan. We would like to thank everyone for their support in raising £270.00 for a very worthy charity which is close to our heart.

Just a quick reminder that nursery will re-open on Tuesday 4th September, we hope that you have had a lovely summer and we look forward to seeing you!

All of the nursery staff would like to say a very big thank you to our families for all of the support they give us throughout their child’s time at nursery.

We wish all of the children who leave us in July lots of luck in their new schools. Enjoy the adventure!

We all enjoyed a fabulous magic show on our last day at nursery. A big thank you to ‘Magic Mick’ who kept us entertained.

Thank you to all of our children, parents and families who attended our summer fayre. It really was a fantastic turn out! Thank you for all of the donations towards our raffles and stalls, we really couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you to all of our parents who attended our Leavers Celebration on the morning of the 12th July. We will really miss all of the children who are leaving to go to school in September, and feel very privileged to have shared lots of special times together.

Thank you to all of our families who attended our sponsored walk through the Dene, raising funds for our nursery. It really was a fantastic turn out.

Funds raised will go towards creating a growing area in our 3-4 year old garden and a walk in sand pit in our 2 year old garden. Thank you again!

Thank you to all the special men who attended nursery on Friday 15th June, with their children, to celebrate fathers day. A great time was had by all and the ‘bacon butties’ and cakes were delicious!

We hope you enjoyed spending time with your children in our nursery environment.

Across June, all of our children have enjoyed a visit to Tweddle farm. We were able to interact with the animals and even feed the lambs, the goats and the donkeys! We rode on the tractor and had a turn on the barrel rides.

Due to a kind donation from a local resident, all of our children attended the farm for free. All of the staff, children and families would like to thank this special person.
